| Gull in the Mirror |
I was watching the Gulls fishing the other day, pulling fish out of the water with their acrobatic moves. From time to time they were close enough to catch some interesting scenes with their reflection in the water. This is one such photo. If only I would have managed to catch the entire reflection in the frame, this would have truly been an outstanding shot. Still - I think it's pretty nice!
What do I like about this photo? The interesting pose, with the water disturbed where the Gull flapped her legs against them. The beautiful reflection, made possible by the water being almost entirely quiet. The color contrast, with the Gull being bright white with red legs and beak, against the more muted water colors (which reflect the sky and clouds above).
What would I want to improve? Definitely would have loved to get the entire reflection in the frame. That would have been a killer photo! I was not quick enough with mu hands, however. Apart from that, I'm really happy with this photo.
