I'm excited that my photo is going to be displayed in an exhibition in Las Vegas! Quoting from the email:

This is one of my favorite photos. The quality is not great, but the scene is so captivating. The one bird with the back to us adds to the interest, as well.
What do I like about this photo? The colors - it's virtually all shades of brown, but still very interesting. It shows a real-life pose, with the birds all relating to each other. The bird with the back to us provides a nice contrast, as well. I used an open aperture to get a shallow depth of field, so the birds are in focus and the background is blurred out.
What would I want to improve? A shallower depth of field would have been preferable here (but my lens does not support a more open aperture).
