The Hoopoe, considered Israel's official bird, in a portrait from behind. note the beautiful wings, the impressive beak, and the stylish head.
What do I like about this photo? It's very clean - nothing disturbing the bird. The diagonal branch also adds some interesting. The Hoopoe is one of the few birds that appear more impressive from behind, and this photo takes full advantage of that.
What would I want to improve? The long feathers on the head are sometimes opened by the Hoopoe to create a "crown" of sorts - that would have been incredible to view in this pose.
