| Hoopoe with Catch |
This beautiful Hoopoe (which, for some strange reason, is the national bird of Israel, even though it's not that common here) has just caught a lizard, and is presenting it proudly. A minute later it was off to its nest (they nest in caves they dig in walls of sand) to present the food to their spouse.
What do I like about this photo? Nature at all its glory (and cruelty). The lizard looks (and was) so helpless, the Hoopoe looks so proud. The tree branches interplay nicely with the Hoopoe and lizard and their colors, as well. There's a pretty good amount of a details, as well.
What would I want to improve? I would have like to be closer to get better details, and also be higher for a more eye-to-eye angle of view.
