The Dragonflies are roaming the area this time of year, with the beautiful colors and incredible control in flight. This one allowed me to get close enough to get a huge amount of details, right to the many "eyelets" that comprise its eyes.
What do I like about this photo? The amount of details, obviously. The background is completely blurred out, making the Dragonfly really stand out. The angular leaf its standing in also adds interest, as do the somewhat blurred out wings in the background.
What would I want to improve? I should have closed down the aperture to get more depth of field, so more of the Dragonfly would have been in focus.
