| Dreamy Dragonfly |
This is a different type of Dragonfly than I usually photograph, and it was giving me quite a show! It let me get close enough to get good details while posing on this branch that was coming out of the water. This entire photo has some very soft, dreamy, atmosphere, which I like a lot!
What do i like about this photo? The wonderful dreamy atmosphere, with the water adhering to the branch softly, the soft ripples in the water showing in different colors, and the Dragonfly merging in perfectly. Huge amount of detail on the head and body of the Dragonfly. I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the Dragonfly is sharp but the rest is blurred out. I used a very low angle, making for a dramatic point of view.
What would I want to improve? Light coming from the back would have upgraded this photo (e.g., by making the wings shine).
