A reminder that this photo titled "The Bee-Eater Caught a Bee" is going to appear in an exhibition at  Espaço Espelho D'agua in Lisbon, Portugal. Opening night is July 15.

I love this photo - it shows the Bee-Eater throwing the bee it caught in the air to catch it again in a better angle. After a few more such throws, and carefully removing the sting by rubbing the bee on the branch, the Bee-Eater will swallow the bee whole. Wonderful to watch!
